Yoga has been practiced in India for thousands of years. It is a way of life with physical, emotional and spiritual benefits. Yoga combines postures, relaxation, breathing and meditation techniques to obtain control over one's physical and mental being.

Fundamental organic health occurs when the body co-develops with the mind. This was realized thousands of years ago by the ancient Indian yogis. Yogic Asanas (poses) accelerate blood circulation in the body and Pranayama (breathing exercises) abates carbon dioxide content ensuring sound health. Dhyna (meditation) helps in calming and controlling the mind. Yoga provides benefits to all aspects of one’s life.

Rashmi does not just teach Yoga - she lives it and applies its principles to all aspects of daily life. She regularly travels back to India to study at famous Yoga institutions and ashrams, and brings of experience to her students.

Rashmi practices "Traditional Yoga" and teaches her students:

  • the meaning, origin and development behind each asana through noted sources.
  • the method for attaining each asana through detailed explanations and illustrious diagrams.
  • how to maintain and perfect each asana so their benefits are realized.


  • Improper practice of Yoga can harm instead of help – an experienced teacher is very important to ensure optimal benefits. Rashmi's many years of experience allows her to spot flaws quickly. She is an expert in assisting students to maneuver their bodies to reach desired positions and does not allow for short cuts or semi-perfect results.

    Rashmi’s vast experience, integrity and personal example are the reasons she has so many long term and dedicated students.
